Spirituality: Where Do I Start?

The question that I often get asked is, "Where do I even begin"?  This of course is usually preceded by questions about spiritual paths, spiritual direction, reoccuring dreams and strange happenings.  I would like to say first of all that I do not claim to be an expert by any means on any of the topics that I plan to blog about. I am just an ordinary, everyday person who is merely sharing their views and extra-ordinary experiences with those that would like to hear about them.  All I can do is offer my advice and challenge you to go out and confirm or deny anything that I plan to talk about, so, now that I have given you my "disclaimer" shall we begin?

The first thing you need to do is ask yourself where you are in life and what are you wanting from your spiritual walk. Are you wanting to actively participate or just wanting something to help you get a handle on the stresses of everyday life? How important of a part will your spiritual path play in your life? Perhaps just attending church services one or two days a week will suffice or are you seeking something much deeper to answer those questions, "Why am I here? What is the meaning of life"? I would like to let you know right now that noone can answer those questions but you. All that I am hoping for is to help you get on the right path to finding your Spirituality.

What makes this World so great is that it is filled with diverse people, cultures and belief systems to draw from. There is no "right" or "wrong" religion or spiritual path and to have someone say that there is means that they may not be ready to read about all I have to say and share.  To be open to what I have to share means that you have to be willing to "think outside the box" and if you are not that person, then I thank you so much for stopping by and hope to have you visit again in the near future.  For those of you who are ready, I welcome you and hope to become friends. Until next time, Blessings to you and your loved ones!
